Riley Goodemote is a low brass multi-instrumentalist, teacher, and conductor based in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has performed and conducted with a wide variety of ensembles from opera orchestras and theatre pits to stage funk-rock bands and traditional jazz combos.
Riley grew up in the Connecticut River valley of southern Vermont, where he got his musical start playing in symphonic bands, rock bands, and New England traditional dance music groups. After majoring in trombone and earning his Bachelors of Music in Education at Ithaca College, he worked as a band director and trombonist in northern New England for five years.
In 2019, Riley relocated with his partner Eliza and their sometimes-amiable cat to St. Paul, where he's started watching more hockey, eating more casseroles, and listening to more Sibelius symphonies.
